At Origimm (‘Origins of Immunity’), we are discovering the origins of the protective immune response in order to develop breakthrough therapies, targeting the cause of a disease rather than just its symptoms.
Origimm’s inception began with Sanja’s desire to develop more reliable research methods to deliver better medicinal products. She was especially drawn to skin diseases because their external manifestation can lead to so much suffering, deep emotional struggles and harmful psychological effects. The very personal stories from the patients who struggle with this skin disease are the driving force behind our efforts and our motivation.
Over the years, Sanja has gradually recruited team members who share her vision and values. From 2012 to 2014, the company operated as a sole proprietorship. In 2014 the company was converted to a limited liability company (known as a GmbH in Austria).
